Adventures

A few insides of the most incredible things
I've experienced...

Travelling

BACKPACKING IN SOUTH AMERICA

In 2017, I left with a friend for 4 months on a trip to South America. First, we stayed for one month with a host family in Sucre, Bolivia, to improve our Spanish skills. For us, it was important to be able to communicate with the local people. After that, we discovered with our backpacks the rest of Bolivia, Peru, and Chile. I greatly appreciated being flexible, tied to nothing, being able to get up in the morning and decide at the same time what the next destination was going to be or if we were going to stay even longer in the same place. Something we do not know about in our daily lives. During this trip, I not only learned a lot about these different countries but also about myself. The time spent in South America made me realise many things and changed my way of seeing them. I did not realise how privileged I was to be able to study. But above all, I learned one thing; it does not take much to be happy!

ERASMUS IN INNSBRUCK

Already speaking perfect German, I did not an Erasmus to learn the language. I wanted to be able to integrate with the locals and discover what I was really interested in; tourism in Austria. The stay in Innsbruck also introduced me to many other Erasmus students from all over the world. The links created not only with Austrians but also with others will stay for a long time. Finally, I found it very interesting to learn how tourism works in Austria.

Mountaineering

Very attached to nature, being in the mountains is the best way for me to blossom. In the last few years, I have started mountaineering and I have to say, the sensations I feel once I reach the top, seeing this breathtaking view of all the other mountains, are just incredible.
These excursions recharge my batteries, motivate me, and give me a lot of hope. Whether it is in winter with ski touring or in summer with crampons, I get a lot of pleasure out of it. At the moment, here are some of the beautiful summits I have already done:

  • Bishorn (4151 m)

  • Weissmies (4017 m)

  • Pointe de Mourti (3564 m)

  • Métailler (3213 m)

  • Sex Rouge (2971m)

  • Monts Telliers (2951 m)

Climbing

Climbing is a very good base for mountaineering. Moreover, it is an exciting sport that makes you overcome fears and believe in yourself. Climbing has boosted my self-esteem and my ability to overcome things I did not believe I could do. Reaching the top makes me feel proud and it feels good.
